• Job Description

  1.1 Engineering Knowledge & Technical Expertise
  • Understand the structure, operation, and assembly principles of various types of valves (Ball Valve, Gate Valve, Globe Valve, Check Valve, etc.)
  • Apply engineering knowledge (Mechanical/Industrial Engineering) to design and improve assembly processes.
  • Basic knowledge of material selection (e.g., stainless steel, alloy steel, carbon steel) suitable for different environments and valve applications.

  1.2 Assembly and Setup Skills
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, valve blueprints, BOM, and technical specifications.
  • Assemble valve components accurately according to drawings and work instructions.
  • Perform initial functional checks such as torque setting, seal fitting, and mechanism inspection.
  • Ensure proper use and readiness of tools, jigs, fixtures, and measuring instruments.

  1.3 Production Process Control
  • Plan and control the assembly sequence and workflow to ensure efficiency and consistency.
  • Inspect incoming parts from machining and production (thread inspection, surface quality, dimensional check).
  • Operate and utilize high-precision tools and equipment such as micrometers, torque wrenches, and pressure testing machines.
  • Support production during new model introduction (NPI) or when technical issues occur.

  1.4 Quality Inspection & Testing
  • Perform valve quality tests including leakage test, pressure test, air test, and internal mechanism function test.
  • Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and assembly accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industrial standards such as API, ANSI, DIN, or customer-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC to resolve quality issues and verify corrective actions.

  1.5 Problem Solving & Process Improvement
  • Identify and resolve assembly issues such as leakage, incorrect fitting, or non-conformance.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Improve assembly processes to reduce cycle time, minimize waste, and enhance efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen, Lean, 5S, and TPM.
