Job Summary- Perform structural engineering calculations and analyses. Take a lead position in the preparation, performance, and on-schedule completion of project work. Document and report findings in a clear and concise manner. Plan, lead, and participate in project and client meetings. Work in a task-based environment to meet the project requirements, and schedule and budget demands of the department, project managers, and others.Essential Duties- Perform appropriate and accurate engineering analyses using hand calculations, approved spreadsheet programs, Engineering Standards, or advanced analysis tools in support of projects.- Provide analysis results in an effective form (written, marked-up drawings, sketches, spreadsheets, presentations, as required) for work performed.- Participate in project team and client meetings, as needed.- Provide leadership by learning, developing, and coordinating new techniques, standardizing procedures, and providing technical instruction and mentoring to department staff.- Provide organized and well written reports to describe assumptions, steps taken, and results from work performed.- Monitor the work product of vendors by performing technical and drawing reviews.- Identify, develop, and use tools and techniques that improve the accuracy and/or efficiency of department and project work.- Archive project and department information in the appropriate company database.- Follow company and department ISO procedures and work instructions.- Evaluate previous methodology and results to establish design factors, comparative values, and modify or create procedures and Engineering Standards.- Provide recommendations and promote development of new products, keeping abreast of competitors' technology and industry needs

- Review in-house design, tender, and contract documents for packages- Coordinate with in-house engineering team to help correct errors in the design documents- Sign and seal the corrected design documents- Liaise with local authorities for submission- Communicate effectively in meetings with local clients, contractors, and sub-consultants- Provide technical detailing expertise- Understand critical civil and structural systems such as flooring systems, lateral systems, master piling plans, and master foundation plans
