Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Create and develop accurate footwear patterns (2D/3D) based on design specifications, ensuring fit, function, and brand alignment
• Prepare technical drawings, measurements, and construction guidelines for production
• Apply knowledge of materials (e.g., leather, rubber, textiles) to ensure proper fit and construction
• Support prototyping and sample making; conduct fit tests and refine patterns accordingly
• Adjust and grade patterns across sizes to ensure consistency and comfort
• Collaborate with design, development, and production teams to meet timeline and quality targets
• Maintain organized pattern documentation and revision records
• Ensure precision and quality standards in patterns and final samples
• Stay updated on trends, materials, and pattern-making innovations
Qualifications
Requirement
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of experience in footwear pattern making or a related field.
• Portfolio demonstrating previous footwear pattern work, including both design and functional patterns.
• Proficient in pattern-making techniques and tools (e.g., manual drafting, CAD software).
• Experience with size grading and footwear fitting standards.
• Ability to interpret and work from design sketches, prototypes, and technical drawings.
Advantages:
• Degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Product Development, or related field (preferred).
• Specialized training or certification in footwear pattern making (a plus).
• Proficiency in CAD software such as Adobe Illustrator, Optitex, USM or Shoemaker (preferred).English Level
