Job Description

【Job Summary】- Lead the development of large air conditioners (VRF) for buildings, overseeing both technical design and organizational management.- Responsible for project management, team leadership, and coordination with Japan HQ to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality product development.1. Strategy & Management-Formulate mid to long-term development strategies aligned with corporate direction and market needs.-Oversee project portfolios, resource allocation, cost control, and development roadmaps for multiple VRF models.-Manage the Chassis Design Group, including planning, scheduling, design review, and project milestone control.-Coordinate with Japan HQ, factory, and related divisions to align specifications, cost targets, and timelines.-Analyze development issues and implement countermeasures to improve quality, cost, and delivery (QCD).-Lead risk assessment and ensure compliance with global standards and regulations.2. Technical Design & Development-Direct the design of VRF outdoor units based on market and regional requirements.-Supervise chassis design and structural specifications to meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.-Oversee evaluation testing, including performance, noise, and operating temperature verification.-Review and approve design documents, specifications, and drawings created by subordinate engineers.-Ensure proper documentation for design reviews, test results, and countermeasure reports.3. People Development & Leadership-Lead and mentor section managers, design leaders, and engineers to enhance technical and managerial competencies.-Implement OJT, coaching, and performance evaluations to build next-generation leaders.-Promote a collaborative and high-performance team culture with strong communication and accountability.4. Governance & Reporting-Monitor and control KPIs for project quality, cost, and schedule.-Approve final design and engineering decisions before executive review.-Represent the R&D division in technical discussions with suppliers, HQ, and certification bodies.-Report development progress, risks, and countermeasures to senior management in both Thailand and Japan.
